On Monday the 31st of August Scottish Government relaxed their restrictions allowing Dundee Ice Arena to reopen its doors and allow Public back on to the Ice. Whilst most of our customers are in support of the work we are doing to enable the arena to function, there are some that believe we should operate as we did pre Covid.
To allow us to reopen and do so as safely as possible, as we are sure you can appreciate, we now need adhere to several restrictions. We understand that these new procedures will not and do not suit everyone, however these need to be in place to allow us to keep the doors open. We are currently restricted to the number of people we can have in the building and we need contact information for everyone that has entered the building. This information is used as part of the nationwide Track and Trace system. All customers must have made a booking to enter the arena. Using our online booking system allows us to monitor the number of skaters and collate our customers contact details.
We appreciate it is difficult to leave kids to attend sessions with these restrictions in place, however if all parents were to stay with their children during these sessions it would exceed capacity and break the conditions which allow us to keep the arena open. As the Government restrictions are relaxed we will be able to allow more skaters onto the ice, spectators will be allowed back in to the Arena and we can try and get back to ‘normal’. Until further restrictions are lifted we would kindly ask for your patience, your understanding and your cooperation
Dundee Ice Arena are pleased to announce that from Monday 31st August we will be opening back up to the public.
In order for us to be able to open and operate safely while adhering to government guidelines we have had to implement some changes.
