Cancellation Ice Policy 2023-24

Due to some late short notice ice cancellations we are often left with some prime-time peak sheets sitting empty. The late cancellations didn’t allow time for these sheets to be resold or used for development plus it was also frustrating for other club members who were unable to book requested peak ice only to find sheets not being used.

The cancellation policy remains the same as last season.

  • Cancellations of club ice made more than 4 weeks prior to the date of the game(s) is due to be played will not be invoiced.
  • Cancellations of club ice made between 2-4 weeks prior to the date of the game(s) is due to be played will not be invoiced if the game is rescheduled. If not rescheduled by the end of the current season then the game(s) will be charged for and invoice accordingly.
  • Cancellations of club ice made less than 2 weeks prior to the date of the game(s) is due to be played can be cancelled but will be invoiced at full ice cost.
  • League games will be invoiced for the full ice cost to the non-showing team unless a re-arranged date can be agreed mutually between the teams
  • Discretion of this policy will be used by the Curling Manager e.g. severe weather conditions or other operating conditions like local government Covid-19 restrictions.
